Job Title: Proposal Writer Location: Remote Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Proposal Writer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the writing process for complex competitive bids. You will translate technical information into compelling narratives that highlight our value proposition, ensuring every submission is professional, accurate, and submitted on time. Key Responsibilities Drafting & Editing: Write original, persuasive content for RFP responses, executive summaries, and case studies. Collaboration: Work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), sales teams, and legal departments to gather technical data and translate it into "client-ready" language. Compliance: Review RFP requirements thoroughly to ensure all responses meet the mandatory criteria and evaluation metrics. Content Management: Maintain and update a "proposal library" or knowledge base of boilerplate text and standard company information. Project Coordination: Manage the proposal lifecycle, including setting internal deadlines, coordinating reviews, and overseeing final production/submission. Quality Control: Perform rigorous proofreading for grammar, tone, and brand consistency. Required Skills & Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field. Experience: [2–5] years of experience in proposal writing, technical writing, or grant writing. Communication: Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts simply. Organization: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight, non-negotiable deadlines. Technical Proficiency: Mastery of Microsoft Word (styles, templates) and familiarity with proposal software like Loopio, RFPIO, or Qvidian is a plus.
